In the Spring of '07, copies of these two old photographs were shown to Texas Author and Artist, Charles Chupp.

He was asked to accept a commission—from Fred Turner (VI '57)—to use them to create a line-art rendition of 'our' VI building.  It was to be presented at the 50th Reunion of the Class of 1957.

Fred & Barbara

During the reunion the professional framed original was put on display by Barbara Shickle Nowak (VI '57).

At the Saturday banquet the original was awarded to John Smith (VI- k to 12) — via a random drawing.

Prior to framing, a professional art reproduction studio made a limited print-run.  It was produced on high quality art stock, 11˝" x 16".

The artist then proofed, numbered and signed a Limited Edition of 250.  There are no plans to ever do a second edition.

The prints were available during the reunion and many asked classmates to sign them — as a keepsake of their 50th Reunion.

A limited number of artist-signed, numbered prints are still available — $10/each — plus $6 for a mailing tube and postage.

E-mail for more information.  A special quantity discount is available to any VI class.

NOTE:  The available prints have no classmate signatures on them and the only date shown is the Artist's Copyright of '07.   Each are pencil numbered and signed by the artist.
