Reunion Events

 

The reunion is set for the weekend of September 12-14, 2008.  The Saturday dinner-dance will be held at the Italian American Community Center – they already have the Lion of Judah from VI’s entryway so it seemed appropriate to hold it there!  We have also booked a band – The Spare Parts.  One of the band members is Jimmy Rocco, VI ’69, who played with the Chord-a-roys back in our day.  How cool is this – having oldies play oldies for the oldies!  Check them out at their website link below and imagine you’re at the gym at CBA/McCloskey or the VI auditorium.

 

Friday evening there will be a casual Happy Hour at Martel’s (at Capital Hills Golf Course – formerly Albany Municipal).  Saturday will include golf and bowling outings and a luncheon/meeting before the main dinner-dance. 

 

The reunion schedule is:

 

     Friday, September 12th, 2008

 

·        Casual Happy Hour, Hors d’oeuvres and cash bar, 6:00 pm (at Martel’s)

 

     Saturday, September 13th, 2008

 

·        Golf (at Capital Hills Golf Course) 

 

·        Bowling (at Westlawn Lanes)

 

·        Meeting & Lunch for “Friends of Bill” (location to be determined)

 

·        Dinner-Dance Reunion Celebration, 6:00 – 11:00 pm (at the Italian American Community Center).  Music by The Spare Parts.

 

     Sunday, September 14th, 2008

 

·        Mass/Memorial Remembrance, 11:00 am (at The Grotto).  Celebrated by Rev. John D. Kirwin. 

 

·        Brunch following Mass in the old VI auditorium.
